We are seeking expressions of interest from female members to join the NSW RFS South West Slopes Zone Senior Leadership Team (SLT). There are 6 positions available.
The SLT plays a vital role in supporting the Zone Manager with the management and operation of the Zone, encompassing four work groups:
Each work group presents ideas and initiatives to the SLT, whose decisions are advisory and serve to guide the Zone Manager’s final decisions. The primary aim of these positions is to enhance the diversity and representation of both the community and the RFS membership within the SLT.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will have the opportunity to represent the volunteer workforce across the districts with a strong focus on:
• Demonstrating leadership abilities
• Collaborating effectively as a team member within the SLT and its work groups
• Contributing to driving change management initiatives across the South West Slopes Zone
• Supporting and engaging with our volunteer workforce
• Communicating effectively and with impact
The current SLT positions will end on 30 June 2027, aligning with other members. The SLT meets quarterly, with work group meetings beforehand. Successful applicants are expected to attend SLT meetings and participate in any work group meetings of their choosing. All SLT members can contribute to discussions and raise items for consideration as outlined in the SLT Charter.
